The 83 year old Antigua and Barbuda Progressive Society, Inc. (ABPS) and the oldest non-for-profit Antiguan organization in the United States, has donated two hospital beds, two walkers, two bath tub chairs, two wheel chairs and one hospital lift to the Antigua and Barbuda Fiennes Institute.
ABPS is aware of the challenges to locate items of such magnitude and therefore, we are committed to providing charitable assistance to our homeland for the betterment of the lives of our elders and less fortunate.
In a statement by Mr. Alton E Forde, Master at the Fiennes Institute of Antigua and Barbuda, he expressed his gratitude to the Antigua and Barbuda Progressive Society for the donations which certainly would enhance the delivery of care to the residents.
The Antigua and Barbuda Progressive Society’s Board and Members will continue the legacy of giving back to our Communities. Over the years, ABPS have made several donations to the Fiennes Institute and will continue to forge this positive alliance to help to provide quality care for our seniors. Mona Wyre Manigo, President of ABPS states “It is very important that ABPS keep providing assistance to communities here in the Diaspora and in Antigua and Barbuda”
Our mission is to foster friendships among members, and to promote and cultivate social, intellectual, and cultural forums, while providing assistance to Antiguans and Barbudans in New York and in the twin island nation.
