Antigua and Barbuda Progressive Society

Awardees Derede Whitlock and McChesney Emanuel

PROGRESSIVE HONOR

The Antigua and Barbuda Progressive Society is holding its 81st Anniversary Celebration on Sept. 27 in Manhattan — and honoring several individuals who have made life better for their fellow national and community at large.

Under the theme "Each Endeavoring, All Achieving," the invitation-only affair will be held at the society's Harlem headquarters, 12 W. 122nd St. (between Malcolm X Blvd. and Mt. Morris Park West), starting at 2 p.m.

Awardees Brenda Harris-Ephraim and Omyma David

The honorees at veteran marketing and advertising executive Derede Whitlock, former director of Antigua and Barbuda Tourism, USA; former Deputy Consul General Omyma David of the Antigua and Barbuda Consulate in New York; Brenda Harris-Ephraim, former U.S Army medic, veteran advocate and former executive assistant at the Antigua and Barbuda Consulate; and management consultant McChesney Emanuel, Antigua and Barbuda's former New York consul general and former chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority.
